Big Lunch Extras is a new programme delivered by the Eden Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and partnered by Halifax.
This is a sister programme to The Big Lunch which works with people across the UK to bring neighbours together one day a year. Big Lunch Extras works on a deeper level with individuals across the UK to give them the skills, confidence and support they need to tackle what matters to them most in their own neighbourhood. We do this through immersive Community Camp events hosted at the Eden Project in Cornwall which are supplemented by online support through social media, an online forum, resources, roadshow events around the UK and tailored support through a team of a Community Catalysts. All of this is completely free to take part in, including travel and accommodation for the events at Eden.
The project is looking for individuals from communities to join the programme. There is more information online about eligibility and the programme itself here at http://www.biglunchextras.com – the main criteria is adults that are not employed in the community sector but that are doing things as individuals in their own community. If you are aware of anyone that you think might be interested in this, perhaps you could make them aware of the programme.
