VAAC Networking – Volunteering:

VAAC holds six networking events each year, each event will have good opportunities to meet and talk to other organisations but also have a section devoted to sharing information or training.

During our recent review of our volunteer service we received some very positive comments about introducing a regular forum for volunteer co-ordinators so we have decided to theme three of our networking events around volunteering.

Our networking events are open to anyone but may be of particular interest to anyone who has responsibility for managing or co-ordinating volunteers across the Arun or Chichester District and it will be an opportunity to network, catch up with new developments, share your news and look at ways we can support each other through sharing best practice.

The  Volunteering Network event took place on Thursday 5th June 2014, 10 – 12pm at University of Chichester (Bishop Otter Campus).
It focused on Volunteer Recruitment and included a short presentation from Brightword Communications (a local PR and marketing company). Copy of the presentation is now available.
