Volunteering and getting the word out

Jamie Dyer is the station manager of SouthWaves Radio. He is a graduate in Media from Chichester University with Aspergers Syndrome. He initially started the project as a way of improving his communication skills and networking.

The project has grown into a community project which he hopes will be a success.

Initially it is a talk only station. The concept is to get in contact with the community, providing discussion, information and knowledge along with elements of the arts.

SouthWaves Radio is due to launch on the 18th September as an online station, operating one night a week to begin with until their content rate increases.

They hope, at a later date, to incorporate local sports coverage, which has seen an interest from people. Their concept also revolves around local businesses.
